🌅 🌟 🏃‍♀️ Running with Trust – The Story of Safa and Marwa

One of the most special parts of Hajj is the journey between the hills of Safa and Marwa. This beautiful craft helps children learn about the incredible faith and determination of Bibi Hajar (a.s.).

When baby Ismail (a.s.) became thirsty, Bibi Hajar (a.s.) did not give up. She ran between the two hills seven times, searching for water while putting her complete trust in Allah. Allah rewarded her patience and faith by causing the blessed well of Zamzam to spring from the ground—a miracle that continues to provide water to millions of pilgrims today.

In this interactive craft, children move Bibi Hajar (a.s.) from Safa to Marwa using a simple slider, helping them visualise this important journey. As they move the character back and forth, they can count each of the seven trips and remember that perseverance, hope, and trust in Allah always bring blessings.

This activity encourages children to:

🖍️ Develop fine motor skills through colouring and assembling.

✂️ Practise cutting and simple craft construction.

🔢 Count the seven journeys between Safa and Marwa.

📖 Learn about one of the beautiful rituals of Hajj.

🤲 Reflect on trusting Allah during difficult times.

Bibi Hajar's (a.s.) story teaches us that even when life feels challenging, we should never lose hope. Just as Allah answered her sincere trust with the miracle of Zamzam, He always hears our duas and knows what is best for us.

"And whoever puts their trust in Allah – then He is sufficient for them." (Qur'an 65:3)

May our children grow up with the same faith, patience, and reliance on Allah that Bibi Hajar (a.s.) showed so beautifully. 🌿🤍
