Walk Through Baynul Haramayn! 🖤💚

Bring the beautiful journey between the two holy shrines to life with this simple interactive craft.

Children can colour the page, create their own little za'ir (pilgrim), and then make them "walk" between the blessed shrines of Imam Husayn (a.s.) and Hazrat Abbas (a.s.) using a lolly stick. It's a wonderful way to talk about the love, loyalty and connection between the two harams during Arbaeen.

What you'll need

Printed Baynul Haramayn sheet (both coloured and colouring versions available)

Printed pilgrim (boy or girl) (both coloured and colouring versions available)

Colouring pencils or pens

Scissors

Craft knife (adult supervision required)

Lolly stick

Glue

Instructions

1. Colour in the Baynul Haramayn scene.

2. Carefully cut out the pilgrim.

3. Ask an adult to cut along the dotted slit on the main Baynul Haramayn page.

4. Glue the pilgrim onto the top of a lolly stick.

5. Insert the lolly stick through the slit from the back of the page.

6. Move your little za'ir from one holy shrine to the other, just as millions of pilgrims do during Arbaeen.

Let's Reflect ❤️

As your pilgrim walks, remember that every step taken towards Imam Husayn (a.s.) is a step filled with love, devotion and blessings.

"Labbayk Ya Husayn!" May Allah (swt) bless us all with the opportunity to walk between these two heavens one day, insha'Allah.

At The Budding Mu'min, we love creating resources that make Islamic learning memorable, hands-on, and meaningful. We pray this little activity helps children build beautiful manners and a lifelong love for visiting the blessed shrines of the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.).
