💎 True Beauty Is a Treasure :Lady Umm Kulthum Modesty Craft

In a world that often focuses on appearance, Islam teaches us that true beauty begins within. Lady Ummul Kulthoom (sa) showed us that the greatest treasures are not jewellery or riches, but faith, modesty, and beautiful character.

This interactive treasure chest craft invites children to discover what real beauty looks like according to the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.). As they lift open the treasure chest they explore five simple ways to practise modesty every day:

✨ Modest Words – Speaking kindly, avoiding gossip, and using good manners.

🧕 Modest Dress – Dressing respectfully and remembering that Allah sees our efforts.

🤝 Modest Actions – Helping others, showing respect, and doing good even when nobody is watching.

👀 Modest Eyes – Lowering our gaze, avoiding staring, and looking for the good in others.

❤️ Modest Heart – Loving Allah, loving the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.), and remaining humble.

At the heart of the treasure chest is an important reminder: the greatest treasures are faith, modesty, and good character. Children are also encouraged to make their own promise by choosing one way they will practise modesty during the week.

This craft is a wonderful resource for children's majalis, madrasahs, homeschooling, or family learning. As children colour, cut, fold, and lift each flap, they discover that real beauty isn't about what people see on the outside—it's about the light of faith that shines from within.
