Sons of Hazrat Muslim- Stars in the Dark Craft
Stars in the Dark – Trusting Allah Like the Sons of Muslim ibn Aqeel (a.s.)
Sometimes life can feel a little like the dark. We may feel worried, nervous, lonely, or unsure about what will happen next. Yet just as stars shine brightly in the night sky, Allah is always there to guide us, protect us, and remind us that we are never alone.
This reflective craft is inspired by the story of the sons of Muslim ibn Aqeel (a.s.), two brave young boys who faced great difficulties but never lost their trust in Allah. Their courage teaches us that even in the hardest moments, we can hold onto faith and hope.
Part 1: Stars in the Dark Reflection Page
Children begin by colouring the night sky scene and reading the simple poem inside the moon.
🌙 The dark can feel scary...
⭐ But the stars remind me that Allah is always there.
💚 When I feel worried, I remember that Allah is with me.
Each star around the moon becomes a space for children to draw or write something that reminds them Allah is always with them. This could be:
⭐ A person who helps them
⭐ A time a dua was answered
⭐ A blessing they are grateful for
⭐ Something that makes them smile
⭐ A challenge they overcame
⭐ A way they can help others
⭐ A reason they trust Allah
This activity encourages children to reflect on Allah's mercy and blessings in their own lives.
Part 2: My Stars of Trust Garland
Children then complete the star garland by (at the back) writing their answers on the stars, colouring them, and carefully cutting them out.
The stars can be threaded onto ribbon, string, or wool to create a beautiful garland that can be hung at home, in a classroom, or in a majlis space.
As children complete each star, they build a collection of reminders that Allah is always near and always caring for them.
