Every journey to the shrine of Imam Husayn (a.s.) begins long before we arrive in Karbala—it starts with our hearts.
This interactive craft helps children think about the beautiful qualities they can carry with them on their journey to Allah through the love of Imam Husayn (a.s.). As they colour the page, cut out each tag, and place it on a lamp post, they reflect on values that make every step meaningful: ikhlas (sincerity), dua, love for Imam Husayn (a.s.), helping others, and good manners.
The winding path reminds us that every step taken with sincere intention is precious in the sight of Allah.
Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (a.s.) said: "There is no believer who goes out to visit the grave of Imam Husayn (a.s.) recognising his right, except that Allah records for him a reward with every step he takes."
This simple activity is perfect for home, madrasah, or children's majalis. It opens conversations about the etiquette of ziyarat and encourages children to prepare not only their bags, but also their hearts.
