Eid Egg Hatch- New me
Eid Hatch – A New Me! Forgiven & Starting Fresh 🌙
This meaningful Eid craft symbolises a fresh beginning — just like a chick hatching from an egg, we step into Eid renewed, forgiven, and ready to grow.
What children do:
-Colour the egg and decorate it with gem stickers, stars, and hearts.
-Cut along the top zig-zag line so the egg can open.
-Lift the top to reveal the picture inside of two children and the message: “Inshallah forgiven. Good as new!”
-Talk about what it means to seek forgiveness, to forgive, say sorry, and repair friendships.
Children decorate the outside of the egg, then open it to reveal a joyful scene and reminder inside:
“InshaAllah forgiven… good as new!”
The message behind the craft: Eid comes after a time of worship, patience, and asking Allah for forgiveness. Just like the egg opens to something new, we too begin again — with clean hearts, better intentions, and hope.
What children learn:
-Allah loves to forgive those who turn back to Him.
-Everyone makes mistakes, but we can always return and try again.
-Eid is not just celebration — it’s a new beginning.
-We can forgive others and repair friendships.
-Empathy helps us understand how others feel.
-Everyone can start fresh and try again.
After Ramadan, we hope Allah forgives our mistakes and gives us a clean start. This activity also reminds children that just as we want forgiveness, we should forgive others too — showing empathy, kindness, and understanding.
Reflection prompts:
-What is one thing you want to do better after Ramadan?
-Is there someone you can forgive today?
-How does it feel when someone forgives you?
-How can we show kindness when someone makes a mistake?
A simple but powerful craft that helps children connect Eid with forgiveness, empathy, second chances, and becoming the “new me.” 🌙✨
