Colour in Karbala Flag
🏴 Colour the Flag of Karbala
Sometimes the simplest activities can leave the biggest impression. As children carefully colour the beautiful dome, the tall minarets, the peaceful dove, and the famous "Ya Husayn" flag, they begin to recognise one of the most beloved symbols in Islam.
This colouring page is a wonderful opportunity to talk about Imam Husayn (a.s.), Karbala, and why millions of people around the world turn their hearts towards his shrine with love and respect.
You could ask your child:
🏴 What colour is the flag at the shrine?
🕊️ Why do you think a dove is flying above the shrine?
❤️ What does "Ya Husayn" mean to us?
🤲 If you could visit Karbala, what dua would you make?
There is no right or wrong way to colour it. Some children may choose the traditional gold dome and red flag, while others may enjoy using their favourite colours. The important thing is that they spend time thinking about Imam Husayn (a.s.) and the values he stood for—faith, courage, kindness, and standing up for what is right.
This activity also helps develop:
🎨 Fine motor skills
✏️ Pencil control
🌈 Creativity
💭 Conversation about the story and message of Karbala
As your child colours, remind them that every time we remember Imam Husayn (a.s.), we remember the importance of truth, justice, and love for Allah. May our hearts always fly towards Karbala, just like the dove in this picture.
Labbayk Ya Husayn! 🏴🤍
