The Budding Mu'min Author's Event

🌟 A Magical Day of Stories, Reflection and Interactive Learning

Alhamdulillah, on Saturday 9th May 2026, the Little Angels of MKSI Leicester in collaboration with Iqra Library and The Budding Mu'min organised a wonderful Budding Mu’min Author's event which was a great success!

Children and families enjoyed an engaging and meaningful experience based around two of our books:

• 🎢 Up, Down, Round and Round – My Emotions, My Path

• 🔥 The Little Whisperer

Through storytelling, games, crafts and hands-on activities, children explored important Islamic values in a fun and memorable way.

🎢 Exploring the Rides of the Heart Park

Children entered the world of Heart Park and discovered practical tools to help them:

• recognise their feelings,

• calm themselves,

• make du'a,

• and remember Allah in every situation.

A highlight of the event was our rollercoaster selfie board, where children could become part of the Heart Park adventure.

🔥 Throw the Whisperer Away!

Inspired by The Little Whisperer, children played an exciting game where they said:

“A‘ūdhu billāhi minash shayṭānir rajīm”

and threw waterballs at the “whisper fires” to knock down bad thoughts such as:

• fear,

• mean thoughts,

• lying,

• backbiting,

• and giving up.

This activity helped children understand how to seek Allah’s protection from negative whispers.

💍 Hands-On Islamic Learning

Children also enjoyed our interactive challenge:

Put the Aqeeq on the Correct Hand

Children explored Islamic symbols and learned that:
“The Aqeeq is a sign of a Mu’min.”

Salaah mats and mics were laid out to "recite our bismillahs loudly".

These simple but engaging activities encouraged children to connect with the teachings of the Ahlulbayt (a).

📚 Learning Through Play

The event included:

• worksheets,

  

• posters,

  

• reflection activities,

• colouring pages,

• games,

  

• and themed displays.

Each activity was designed to help children build emotional awareness, strengthen their faith, and deepen their love for Allah and the Ahlulbayt (a).

💜 Jazakum Allahu Khayran

A heartfelt thank you to all the families who attended and supported the event.

It was truly beautiful to see children learning, laughing and connecting with Islamic values in such an interactive way.

We pray that Allah blesses our young Mu’mins and Mu’minahs and helps them grow into confident believers who follow the Ahlulbayt (a).
